1. What other advantages do you think the Internet2 project could
bring to our society?
Internet 2 will definitely propitiate more the development of knowledge and
the access to better opportunities. For countries such as those that have few
job resources it should also be a source of telework.
We are living in the
information era, thus the high quality accompanied by the speed of
services are the soul of this new phase where we live in. This phase
is destined to shorten paths without losing focus.
The
interactivity among students and among professors and students will
undoubtly be of great importance; I say this because I am a professor
in a distance education university, Universidad Estatal a Distancia,
in Costa Rica and frankly I think that Internet 2 brings many

2. In your opinion, should Internet2 be restricted to
educational purposes or should it include commercial opportunities?
No, the reason is that every educational project should contribute to the
improvement of the quality of life of the people, which implies development
of economies. If Internet 2 can assist in the development of commerce, that
is, improve the access to goods and services to the peoples than it would
be worthy to incorporate commercial opportunities.
I believe it should include commercial opportunities because commerce would
be more agile and consequently would take better and greater information to
the consumers. Of course I am also considering this would be possible if the
costs of access are diminished.
